How to Get Your CSVTU Transcript & Migration Certificate
Last updated: June 2026
If you have completed your degree and are applying for higher studies abroad (or within India), you will undoubtedly need a Transcript and a Migration Certificate from CSVTU. This is notoriously one of the most confusing processes for graduating students. This guide simplifies it for you.
1. What is a Transcript?
A transcript is a consolidated official document that lists all your subjects, credits, and grades across all 8 semesters on a single sheet. Foreign universities require a sealed transcript instead of 8 separate mark sheets.
2. How to Apply Online (Digivarsity Portal)
CSVTU has recently digitized this process. You no longer need to travel to the university campus in Bhilai to stand in lines.
- Go to the CSVTU Digivarsity portal (csvtu.digivarsity.online).
- Login using your Enrollment Number and password.
- Navigate to the 'Apply for Documents' section and select Transcript or Migration.
- Upload scanned PDF copies of all your original mark sheets (Semester 1 to 8).
- Pay the required fees online (Transcript fees are charged per copy). Save the payment receipt.
3. How Long Does it Take?
Generally, it takes about 15 to 20 working days for the documents to be dispatched after applying online. Therefore, if you are applying for your Master's, make sure you apply for your transcripts at least a month in advance!
